Brief Description: Installed Rudder Cable Guides in Aft Fuselage
Installed Rudder Cable Guides in Aft Fuselage. The rudder cable come very close to the lower fuselage longeron. I had installed delron blocks to lift the rudder cable away from the longeron. A good idea but in practice, the cables have shown the ability to slide under the blocks and rubbing on the longeron. The solution, now that there is an aft fuselage access opening, was to install split white plastic tubes on the rudder cables and then securing these tubes with adel clamps to the lower longron. Duct Tape was wrapped around the tubes to increase the tubes' diameter for tighter gripping of the tubes by the adel clamps. The cable is now guided over the delron blocks and removes the risk of the cable slipping below the delron blocks.
