Brief Description:  CV-19, more work, computer crash

Well, I started the year with a goal of 365+ hours in the shop this year. January went well and I was on average. February less so...as that is when the tax timing (personal, business and non-profit) kicks in each year, so that was to be expected... and then March fell apart... Early March brought on the COVID-19 over reaction/outbreak and by 3/17 my co-workers and I were making plans to work from home.

I have worked from home from time to time, a day here and a day there - but every day. The problem with me working from home is that I lose all sense of time. I sit down at the desk around 7 am and before I know it, it's 1:30 and I haven't eaten lunch. Don't get me wrong, I love the 24 second commit, but work is just always there...and there is always something to do. So, with that combination, I also end up working later than usual as I don't need to rush home for a workout, etc. I am glad for my job and glad I am still able to work, and work from home. We have also been tightening the financial reigns to make sure we can weather the storm.

Late March I noticed that the old computer seemed to be running a little slower...but maybe I was just imagining it. A few days later, the computer would boot up, but the hard drive was gone, done, couldn't be found. I maintain a backup of all files, but ironically, because of COVID, the county was buying up all the laptops for their workers to work remote...I went to Costco and made my choice based on what I could buy and take with me and then the restore began.
