I re-worked the "up" elevator stop until I had 29.3 degrees of up angle from neutral. As you can see, it took 8 iterations but I wanted to sneak up on it and get close, but not go over the 30 degree max limit. I just put the stop in the vise and after the initial cut with the hack saw, I filed the angle on the side that was deeper and needed more filing. File a little, then install it, and take a measurement....repeat. You can see on iteration #6 when the measurement didn't move, it was because I needed to start filing the left side. I will rivet when the empennage comes off and I can get good access.
