As I already had already built the rudder pedals it's only a matter of installing them. I kinda inched my way into it as I just pulled the rudder pedals down off the shelf to see what they looked like in the cockpit. Then I thought I would maybe put a few bolts in as it looked like one of my blind rivets to the ramp might interfere with the pedals? I did have to grind it down (just the excess, not the actual rivet) to make the pedals clear. I say, "kinda" because I have heard that it's a good idea to put down some stainless steel tape for the delrin blocks to slide on - as well as lay down some sticky "wing walk" tape for the feet to aide entry and egress.
But since I had the pedals installed, I felt like I might as well connect up the pedals to the cables - to the firewall and make the rudder waggle. So that's what I did - probably 3 minutes of rudder waggle - it was therapeutic. Mucho inspiration.
Need to research that stainless tape and sticky tape idea...
there they are - should I paint or powder coat the pedals?
