With the elevator issue solved, it was time to set the up and down limits for the elevators. The "up" limit is 30 degrees max and 25 dgrees min. For down elevator travel, the limit is 25 max and 20 minimum. To start, I already had close to 22 degrees at the down travel limit, so I just filed a little bit and put the correct angle on the stop for maximum contact and I was at 25.
For the up limit, I was fairly far off, so I was going to need to trim a good amount. I also had to remove some of the deck, so that was first on the list. Then it was a matter of inching in right amount to cut off of the angle/stop. I got it right under 30 degrees but it was not good weather for priming so that will have to wait. I also would like a little more angled surface on the stop so I will give that some thought.
