Brief Description: Priming the inside of F-841 pushrod
I removed the rod end bearings by unscrewing them and then taped one side closed. Standing on a stool, I poured the Stewart Systems primer into the open hole and then tapped up the remaining side. I sloshed the primer back and forth, rotating the pushrod to distribute the primer to the entire inside surface area. There is really no way of knowing if I had it all covered, so I just kept doing it, different ways and different angles. After doing that for about 20 minutes, I undid the tape and poured out the remaining primer. Looking in one side with a light shining in the other – looks like it is fully covered and then some. I cleaned up the threads as best I could and then threaded the rod end bearings on and off to work the primer off the threads.
