Brief Description:  Stainless Steel Cooling Ramp Mod #1

I decided I would replace the aluminum cooling ramp with one made of 0.0195" stainless steel for better fire safety. Not that it really needs it, the design has worked just fine with aluminum. It's just my personal choice.

The cooling ramp circles around from the lower part of the firewall and then angles back along the underside of the fuselage almost back to the landing gear. The exhaust stacks exit the firewall out along the cooling ramp.

I followed in the footsteps of Dan H., except that mine will not go all the way back to the first crossmember as the Grove one piece gear has rivets close to the nutplates and I don't believe I will be able to lift the stainless without bending it in case I need to remove the gear.

Anyway, I will use the aluminum cooling ramp as the template, but modify the side wings to fold the other way for more stainless protection on the sides of the F-851 bottom skins.
