Brief Description:  Forward Bottom Skins #1

Got a lot done today on the project. Started back to the regular fuselage progess and on to the forward bottom skins.

There was a lot of final drilling the #30 and #40 holes as well as #19 - then deburring, dimpling and edge smoothing and deburring. Making sure to dimple the right way on the right holes by double checking which way they go.

I also needed to expand the holes in the forward bottom skins that are aligned on top of the AN4 bolts that will need to be tightened regularly in the future. The hole need only big enough to allow the entension to fit thru as the socket can be placed on the nut from the side. That keeps me from having to make the hole too big.

I also made the modification to the F-850 skin that would normally be riveted down, but because I am using the Grove one piece gear, I will need the option of removing the gear (I guess) so I substituted the holes for nutplates...which took a lot of extra time - and for which most people won't have to do - but I like the way it turned out.
