Brief Description:  Seat Floors - brackets, front hinge, and keeper

My order for misc. rivets came in today so I plugged the keeper hole in the gear tower/F-820 front skins - which was too difficult to get with the current bucking bars and two people - so I opted fo a countersunk 3/32" blind rivet.

I also temporarily installed the front seat floor and drilled to #19 the floor, the support angle and the bracket and installed nutplates. I am imbarrased to say that of the 4 rivets in the 2 nutplates, I had to drill 3 of them out and re-do them...and I was using the squeezer... Oh, well, in the end, they are 4 great rivets and that's all that matters. My shop time is just free therapy.

Then it was on to the front seat hinge measuring and drilling. I have the standard placement bottom hinge half drilled and I am also going to install a second bottom half hinge so that I can have a second seat position and pick up another 1 1/2" of leg room. As you know, if you have been following along - that I have not yet sat in the airplane and made airplane noises,,,,but tonight I was really close to grabbing some cushions and climbing in for some full-on pretend flying.

In all honesty, I am probably close to doing some seat measuring (sitting in the airplane) in preparation for ordering the seats...but I will let you know if I make any noises. :)
