Brief Description:  Panel back modification #2

Today I got the panel mod finished up to the point where the pieces ready for prime.

Now is a good time to cut a piece of aluminum for the rear throttle delrin slide “cover”. The rivet would probably fine without a backing, but I want a good delrin sandwich between two skins of aluminum. So, I drew the outline on a spare piece of aluminum and cut it out, smoothed the edges and match drilled the holes. I made the big hole much bigger on the aluminum than it was on the delrin so that there is no way the rod can slide on the aluminum.
Tomorrow morning bright and early I will prime all the pieces I have and some others that have been waiting for a primer session – like the fuel gauge panel I fabricated.
