Brief Description:  Game plan the measuring of the landing gear

I did some more measuring - and just going thru the way I thought I would measure the landing gear. I believe I have the method down as to how I would like to get the gear centered on the fuselage (left to right). It was a method given to me by my buddy Jared in Montana. He explained how to use the centered holes on the firewall and the tail to get a good center/middle of the fuselage. If I drop plumb bobs using those holes and then run a tight line from rear plumb bob to front plumb bob - dropping two more plumb bob's off of the side of each landing gear and measure each of those plumb bob lines to the center line and keep adjusting until they both are equidistant - then I will have the gear centered. The other part of getting the landing gear on correctly is getting it perpendicular to the fuse so that it tracks straight. With more help from Jared, I need to measure the gear fore and aft to other rivet holes in the gear channel and underside of the fuse to get it at a 90 degree angle to the fuselage. I walked it all thru in my mind as well as laid it out in the shop. Now I need to get the gear tower rivets done – two people so I can progress.

I took various pictures - but you will have to wait for the real deal.
