Brief Description:  Skin Riveting – Finish F-824R

I came back to the offending -4 rivet and drilled it out and then decided that the statute of limitations was up on the 2 offending upper holes and that I would fill those with the MSP-42 pull rivets before I had a hollowed out hole from too many mis-fires. I sure don’t like putting a pop rivet on the outside of the skin, but maybe down the road I will have acquired the skill or tools to properly drive these 2 rivets. It’s just that the seat belt attach keeps you from getting a good handle on the bucking bar – but we will see.

That does it for the middle and rear fuse skins, making up the side of the fuselage (still have the front skins to do) now I will be preparing to “flip the canoe” as it is called in the builders circle – to get at the rivets on the bottom… either that or I will drive them from the top with a back-rivet set and have a partner sit under the fuse with the bucking bar? Hmmmm.
