Brief Description:  Fuel Vent tubes

Tonight I bent the 1/4" tubing for the left and right fuel vent lines. With the standard Van's landing gear, the vent lines go from the outboard fitting, up and over the top lightening hole in the LG box (like mine) and then down thru the bottom skin thru the pre drilled hole. But since I will be using the Grove one-piece gear, I will likely need to drill a new hole in the bottom skin in a different place. As such, I learned of a hint from my buddy Rob where some people put a union in the middle of the fuel vent tube so that if needed, it makes replacing the lower portion of the vent line easier. This works out great for me, since I am now able to get most of the line installed and then after the landing gear is here - I will be able to drill the new holes and finish the fuel vent line.

Now that I have bent all of these tubes, I still have not become a skillful tube bender. I still haven't figured out how to make the bends where I want them to be... so I will do some more research on bending tube and hopefully get better.
