Brief Description: Fuse Final Assembly – Bulkhead 807
It’s been a long few weeks at work and so it was really great to get back in the shop for some “therapy”!
I skipped ahead a bit as the next step is to bend the brake tubes and fuel tubes before closing up the front of the fuselage with the side skins, but I am still awaiting the fuel pump and fuel filter from Airflow Performance and will need those in place to make the proper parts.
I clecoed, then riveted the F-807 Bulkhead to the aft outboard seat ribs (F-813). There were only 6 rivets total, but they had to be hand-bucked as the angles were not workable to use the squeezer so it took a long time to buck, and then check each rivet. The next step went much faster because I was able to use the squeezer to rivet the Baggage Rib angles (F-818B) to the Baggage ribs (F-818). I am not planning on mounting the battery in the back as I am not going with a heavier / higher horsepower engine, so I probably will not be using the baggage rib nutplates - but – I installed then anyway. Lastly, I clecoed the baggage ribs to the 807 bulkhead in preparation for riveting. Looking ahead, these rivets will be hand bucked as well…
