Brief Description:  Drilling Fuse Skins - Deconstruction

Today it was allabout taking the fuse apart. first to go was the top aft skin, and the tops of the bulkheads, then the Aft deck and the angle and rudder stops. I removed the WD-823 front seatback support and the spacers - and I marked the tops of each of the spacers for proper replacement. I removed the cockpit railsand the seatback support plates - then out came upper longerons, and then the side skins, mid skins, and everything clecoed to the seat rib assembly. Wow - back down to a small front fuse area and the seat ribs and that's all. (see pic #1)
The next job was the modification of the F-808 bulkhead to accept the Garmin brackets for the pitch auto pilot servo. The bulkhead is too high in the aft section as the a/p servo bracket extends farther than the standard bellcrank assembly. A little cutting work with the dremel tool and then some smoothing and it was good to go.
