I figured since it was 8/15 and I was working on page 8-15 that something good would be in store. I was able to get the middle longerons (F-844-L/R) hand bent to 5/32" and test fit them on the forward fuselage structure. Next I started laying out the measurements on the floor for the upper longerons. The big ones have 2 seperate bend locations with 2 angles each (4 bends per longeron) It took me a lot of reading, comparing and deciphering to make sure I understood how to bend the longerons.
I figured the best way to measure the pre/post bends in the longerons was to lay down tape at the bend locations and snap a chalk line on the floor and pre draw the bends so that I could keep it all straight. It took a long time - probably an hour, to lay out the template on the garage floor. I also marked the longeron as left and right as well as top and bottom to keep the orientations straight. I would bend the longerons and then go check the bend against the measurements - back and forth until It was on the mark.
