Brief Description:  L.G. assembly edging (cont) + cleco, drilling

I continued the Landing gear assembly - finishing up the smoothing and them moving on to the clecoing of the parts together. These landing gear box assemblies carry the weight of the landing gear when the landing gear is bolted in. It also spreads the load along to the fuselage skins, the longerons and the rest of the structure. The 2 assemblies (left and right) are really pretty heavy once they are all put together - because the steel plates are inserted/bolted in to the bottom of the assemblies.

I was able to cleco the assemblies together and drill the 1/8" holes, but the rest will have to wait until later. Some cool pics below...I thought about putting the assemblies on the floor and sitting behind them and making airplane noises...but I held off...for now... :)
