Next step is to bend the top of the firewall forward 8 degrees. I tried to cobble together some wood pieces to make a straight edge to bend against, but in the end, I decided to get the table saw down from the attic, set it up and cut a new edge in a 2 x 4. With that done, I clamped everything down and did the bend. I used another piece of plywood to push up on the back of the firewall and make the bend.
