Tonight I was able to get the pushrods primed. Inside and out for the longer W-816 tubes, and only the inside for the shorter W-818's as they are powdercoated on the outside.
It's a bit of a challenge to get the inside of the long tubes done as they are bigger around and longer. I used lots of primer, shot from both ends and I rotated the tubes as I sprayed for good interior coverage. The primer would eventually come out the other end so I am sure it went thru...and I used the compressor air to blow it thru also. In the end, I used a whole can of primer for the 4 insides and 2 outsides. It's not all in there as some dripped out the other ends, but I thought it important to get good coverage inside.
I let them dry for a while and then put the "endcaps" on to make sure they would fit correctly. I will let them air dry overnight before riveting them.
