Brief Description:  Back to the Top skins - finally

So I have put this off long enough and am itching to get going on some top skin rivets. Therefore, I needed to get the skins back on to interpret how much more "scarfing" and smoothing the transition was needed. But - before that, I wanted to re-calibrate the wing jig to ensure I did everything within reason to ensure no twist in the wing.

So, I adjusted the main spar turnbuckle at the inboard and shimmed the outboard point to get a reading of 0.0 degrees on the electronic level. I measured it at 5 points on top of the main spar, and it was 0.0 at each point - which is good and expected. Before the adjustment, it was only at 0.1 on the inboard and 0.2 on the outboard, so it took a bit of finagling to get it to a flat 0 and 0. I mean, come on, It was only off by 1/10th of a degree...is that like the width of a human hair? I don't know - but hey, right is right.

Next, I hung the plumb bobs from the innermost and outermost rivet holes on the spar and measured the distance from the string to the skin at the rear spar. It took me a few tries to get the little bit of twist out at the rear spar - and I still have a difference of 3/64" between the 9-foot run - but I am good with that.

Then I pulled off the skins and worked on the transition where the skins overlap each other.
