Brief Description:  110 years ago.... and more spar work

110 years ago, the brothers Wright, took off in a airplane they built in their garage, and were first in Flight! Since then, we have put men on the moon, flown higher that the atmosphere and faster than the speed of sound - and now, 110 years later, I am building an airplane, in my garage, looking forward to my first flight...quite amazing, I think. Thanks Wilber and Orville.

"In flying I have learned that carelessness and overconfidence are usually far more dangerous than deliberately accepted risks."
— Wilbur Wright in a letter to his father, September 1900.

"If you are looking for perfect safety, you will do well to sit on a fence and watch the birds; but if you really wish to learn, you must mount a machine and become acquainted with its tricks by actual trial."
— Wilbur Wright, from an address to the Western Society of Engineers in Chicago, 18 September 1901.

Today, I deburred, cleaned and primed the faying surface of the spars and the spar reinforcement A-408, then riveted the platenuts on the spar. Also match drilled the nose ribs and clecoed up the ribs. That's all for today
