I got a lot done today - we took a friend of Holden's to the airport and left the house at 5am... so the natural thing to do was to go out to the shop :) I finished up deburring the rest of the stiffeners and then drilled them in place on the aileron skins. After that I deburred the holes, and dimpled skins and stiffeners, scuffed the surface of the skins (I decided to not scuff the stiffeners and just prime, with the full armour of the alclad on the stiffeners too). Then I cleaned the stiffeners in soapy dawn water, the skins with MEK, and hand dried all. Finally, I primed the faying surface on the skins and stiffeners. I will let that dry over night - time for Christmas shopping.
