Brief Description:  drilled left leaking rivet - started ailerons

I drilled the offending rivet out of the left tank and then started the ailerons. I didn't feel like mixing up a 1-rivet batch of proseal even though I will end up doing just that in a day or so. Take a look at the 1st picture - I really get an interior giggle at the way the hole is drilled, the rivet is removed and the balloon is still inflated. I tried to get a better picture - but this is the best I could do.

I started the ailerons because I needed a big chunk of no-think work to do and the aileron stiffeners fit the bill. Thanks to Virginia Rob for the idea to move over and get some work done on the ailerons while waiting for a helper with the skins. I also need to work on the transitions/lap joints before riveting the skins. Today I did order some LP4-3/4 blind rivets to install the leading edges.

I started by debluing the sticks as it is easier to pull the vinyl off of 8 long sticks, than 32 smaller pieces...so that helped. Then I cut the stiffeners out, and trimmed them to shape. I was able to debur about half of them before the wife came home and it was time for dinner.
