Brief Description:  start riveting leading edge

Tonight I thought I might get a bunch done, but the oak leaves have started falling into the in earnest and an artic front is heading in... today was a high of 79, and tomorrow's high is forecast at 38, with a high of 29 and sleet/ice/rain for Friday! There are 3 oak trees about 30' tall in the back yard - in close proximity to the pool. So, the leaves were first up since the cold weather and driving wind makes for uncomfortable pool cleaning. I would much rather deal in leaves and pools in 79 degrees instead of freezing. Not only must the pool be cleaned of the leaves, but the surrounding area must be clened too, or that strong north wind will blow the leaves right in the pool anyway. Oh well, I estimate that the trees have dropped about 10% of their leaves so far - so all those leaves that are still on the trees will be gravity fed right into/near that pool in the next few days. But enough about leaves....

Tonight I started riveting the leading edges! I started, as per plans, with the back skin/rib rivets and those were done with the squeezer (easy breezy) Making sure to use the 3-3.5 rivets on the rib/skin joints, and the 3-4 rivets on the rib/skin/W423 joint is also a priority. I decided just not to move any clecos and do the -3.5 rivets first. In the end, I set 38 rivets or so, including the access panel... not much to talk about but tomorrow should be much more productive!
