Brief Description:  Wing Skin work - 1

So today I started off with the edging of yesterday's skin (W-804-2-R) on the bottom of the right wing. Then I completed the other bottom skin (W-705-R) - which means I de-blued, deburred, dimpled and edged it. 2 bottom skins complete at this point

I tried something new today - I put a deburing bit in the electric drill and used it to deburr the bottom of the wing skeleton (ribs and rear spar). It works well, but you have to be careful not to gouge the ribs as they only need a quick burst from the drill. After deburring the bottom of the ribs - I used the pneumatic squeezer and dimpled them. I will need help rotating the wings on the stand to be able to get to the tops - so that will have to wait until my lovely partner is available.

I was tired but I decided to keep plugging away - and got busy on two more bottom skins from the left wing. I deblued them both, and deburred and dimpled W-704-L and that's all I did for the day - a long day, long weekend - lots of good work in! Another milestone... that marks a complete year of building. Tomorrow starts year #2.
