Tonight I started down the Checkoway path. Upon further review - I am thinking that I messed up the Z brackets partly because I was mixing the Van's way and the Checkoway method...so tonight I began the Checkoway method. The first step is installing the tank ribs into the tank skins. It's a good tight fit so it took some time to get it done. There are also tons of clecos in the rib/skin - so I am running low on 3/32" clecos and need some more. I also took the blue vinyl off from the inside of the tank skin - that was actually the first step.
