Brief Description: Access plates and more platenuts

(This work was actually done on 5/11/13, but I couldn't get the follow-up posts to sort after the first post, so I changed the date to force it to post first)
Got a ton of work in today but since it was tedious work, it wasn't great visual progress...but still, it was a good long session. Since I worked 7.5 hours today I will break up the day in segments. For phase 1 of the day I began by preparing the 6 access plates that will go on the bottom of the wings. They aren't big panels, but there are 2 diiferent screws used to hold the plates on, #6 on the spar flange, and #8 on the wing skin. So, it was a matter of double, and triple checking when drilling the holes (two different bits) and dimpling the holes (two different dimples). But all in all, they came out good. I drilled the holes, deburred the holes, cleaned up the edges and then dimpled them...see the before and after pics below. I also countersunk the holes that the dimples would be recessing into. Trial and error-like, I started off shallow and kept adjusting down the counter sink cage until I got a nice flush fit.
I also attached the center section platenuts - 4 of them (K1000-4's). Again, just 4 platenuts, 2 each spar side... but it was a multi check process, "Do I have the right size platenuts, am I sure exactly which side the platenut goes, are you sure (yes, I think so...) well then, you better check again...) the rivets are countersunk and then rivetted on. Since all of the spar flange countersink holes are now done - I primed the countersink surfaces/spar flange
