Brief Description: Clean up / organize the wing kit
Today I had to do some serious re-organizing and storage building. The wing kit had taken over the workshop and I needed to get the workshop re-organized and the wing kit put away so that I could get my workshop back. It was a long day, but I got a lot done and made really good progress.
I started by building the upper workshop storage out of 1/2" galvanized plumbing pipe. I got the idea from my RV-14 buddy, KC Berner (Thanks KC). I built it to be 2' x 4' x 5' so that it can hold the wing tips, sitting upright...and the rest of the skins. I also built it to be strong, so I told Teresa it was our flying trapeze - and then I showed her how I could hang from it... she didn't find it as humorous as I did. I slipped the top part of the wing kit crate under the weight bearing pieces of wood so that when I look up at the bottom part of the upper storage, I can see my name and address and the Van's return label. It's the little things in life. :)
