After the adhesive cured I was able to drill the holes, countersink the holes and prep the tip for installation. I pop riveted the tip in place using the called out CS4-4 pop rivets - except for the 2 rivets on the trailing edge. The 4-4's won't fit there so I used 4-2 at the end. The tip doesn't really fit right to the metal rudder - the front and aft ends are flush but there is a gap in the middle on both sides. I will have to come back and use some fiberglass filler to fill that gap.
I also started on the vertical stab tip - cutting it down to size and drilling the holes to cleco the tip to the VS. The VS tip doesn't fit exactly flush to the rudder tip so some work will be needed there. To get a good fit I want to install the rudder on the VS with the bolts instead of just the pins so until I can do that - I will wait.
