Brief Description: Electric trim tab servo cover/brackets– revisited
Well, since I was waiting on my Z brackets to arrive from Van’s, I went back to an item that needed finishing…the elevator trim panel/cover. I originally drilled the servo brackets back on 2/20/2013, but the alignment wasn’t that great. This time around I just eye balled where the servo needed to be (instead of using the measurements in the plans that are incorrect) and marked the servo brackets on the panel cover. After marking where the servo brackets were supposed to go, I clamped the brackets and drilled them. Following the usual steps, I then deburred, edged and primed the 2 brackets and the cover. Washing and priming the parts was also completed and then priming happened. The parts will have to wait a few days until they get riveted as we are leaving tomorrow for a mini family vacation to New Orleans.
