Brief Description:  trim tab work

My schedule has conspired to keep me away from the shop  Tonight I was planning on going to the EAA chapter meeting , but it has been so long since I have “built” anything, I stayed home, and jumped into the trim tab. AS per instructions, I used the two-sided carpet tape to hold down the wood and bent the tabs - that took most of the time. It took so much time because the wood has to be lined up correctly in order to get the trim tab shaped the right way. I tried to take some of the offset out of the elevator by matching the trim tab to it as much as possible... trying to get the elevator and trim tab matched up parallel. I may end up building another trim tab or left elevator, or both...but I will at least get the experience so that if I do have to rebuild LE or trim tab, I will know how to do it better...
