Brief Description: Prepped the VS for final Assembly
I got up before the chickens this morning and started working on the VS. I was able to prep the ribs (deburred the edges and fluted), re-assemble the substructure and match drill everything including the skin. Next I deburred the skin, dimpled the substructure and skin ... and I as able to prime all the parts! Michael Stephen is coming over today and will give me his impression of my work so far, so I am anxious to hear from him whether or not I have changes to make.
Michael came by and inspected my work. We talked a lot and he finished by saying that everything looked good and he said - keep it up!
Then after he left, I went back to work... I had a minor mistake with the DRDT-2 dimpler...cutting into the side of the hole slightly...but it will be ok.
All ready to put together!
close up of an "oops" dimple - Michael said, "no problem, rivet on"
Tried something new, only priming the rivet line...reflections on itself
