Continued working on the front spar…I put the 6 degree bends in both spars and dimpled the skins and countersunk the 810/814 reinforcement bar. That was easy breezy – so on to the next step – preparing the HS 404 ribs to fit along the 702 spar – you have to trim it up so that it will fit “around” the 810/814 reinforcement bars. The other thing the instruction warns about is not making two exactly the same…in other words, you need to make a right and a left. Check... Next, I had to “prepare the ribs” by fluting the edges …for me, this is a bit of trial and error. I put the rib against the straight edge of the table surface and by trial-and-mistrial, made the flutes in the proper places to straighten out the ribs.
