Well, that tape holding strong thing... no, it wasn't. It was only holding strong until I turned and walked away that last time. I came back a few hours later to see that the tape was loose, the skirt halves had pulled away (about 1”) and then the resin layups had dried completely.
So, do-over time...again.
I am really getting good at grinding and sanding the unwanted layups...
Notice how much tape is on this one - I am taping thru the middle and glassing the top and bottom simultaneously.
