Brief Description: Landing/Taxi and Nav/Strobe wiring routing
Today I was working out the details of the Landing/Taxi lighting and the Nav/Strobe lighting runs. While doing this, I am also determining the best locations for the antennae wiring runs (RG-400 wire) as a secondary thought process. The primary consideration is that AeroLEDs says that the shielded wire for the Nav/Strobes, considered a "noisy" wire, should run separately from the other wires. AeroLEDs specifies that the Nav/Strobe light should be at least 7" from the magnetometer, so that is a consideration for the wing wire routes. I can deal with the 7" by running the magnetometer wires separately if needed. I can mount the magnetometer out in the wingtip to be at least 7" from the nav/strobes. I opened up some bulkheads and ran the static hose up behind the panel as it will need to be there eventually, so now is a good time.
I also picked up my canopy handle from Rick at Oshkosh; since we were both there, it saved shipping. It turned out great, and the hard anodize will last a long time - thanks, Rick!
