Brief Description: Planning next steps, Relay location options
In thinking about the remaining harnesses and wiring that would be going behind the panel, I temporarily connected the remaining three wiring harnesses to the GEA-24 box. The GEA-24 is an engine interface module that converts engine sensor information to a digital format displayed on the G3X Touch displays. Wow! There's a whole lot more routing and wiring that is needed. Although it was a bit of a kick in the pants, it was good for planning the next steps. I realize I will need at least one more conduit in the left gear tower and possibly one more in the right tower. I also looked at a few spots that would be good for the two remaining relays (flaps and smoke oil pump). The smoke oil pump is pretty easy as everything is located near the engine, but the flap relay could go up in the aft panel area or nearer to the flap motor. I will have to do some more research to decide.
