Knowing that there will be lots of additional sanding in the future, I needed to protect the inside of the canopy - so I cut a tarp I had laying around and taped it to the inside of the canopy. I taped it above the frame - so that I could still install the canopy on the fuse. I then slid the canopy open a bit and made some cuts in the skirt based on where the gap was. Then I pulled the canopy back off and laid up some glass and resin, then reinstalled the canopy and strapped some blocks to hold pressure on the skirt. After the resin dried, I pulled the blocks off - the gap is better, but not gone. I am done - I am going to fill the gaps and move on.
