Brief Description: Canopy latch – final fitting of C-654-1 latch
Each time I fully closed the canopy and locked it using the latch handle, the canopy seemed to pull slightly to the left side (which is the side that the locking mechanism is one). The instructions warn the builder that the proper latch engagement should not exert very much forward pull on the canopy – and I believe mine was exerting too much pressure. So, I filed a bit more out of the elbow of the C-654-1 latch. With the latch at the final fit, I can finalize the fit around the canopy skirt sides to the fuselage as well as do the final glass buildup of the aft section over the rail.
