Started the upper fiberglass tip on the rudder. The tip uses flush pop rivets to affix the tip to the metal in the rudder so the fiberglass tip is countersunk. After that is done, there isn't much material for the rivet to grip. I, like others opted to bond a strip of aluminum to the inside of the fiberglass tp on both sides of the tip. I bonded a 1/2" strip of aluminum to the tip with the T-88 adhesive. It takes a setup of 24 hours so I mixed, bonded and clamped the strips to the tip and let it cure.
Then I drilled and dimpled the rudder in prep for tip.
