Brief Description:  Gluing the canopy

With a busy week of work, non-profit events and work - and Holden in town, I finally carved out some time to glue the canopy! I woke up to 35 degrees outside temp. and 55 in the shop - so I needed to heat up the shop a little before settling in on glue time. We watched the Longhorns dominate Baylor while the shop was warming up and then it was glue time.

I cleaned the frame with the cleaner, cleaned the canopy with the cleaner then waited the required 10 minutes. I then primed up the frame and the canopy, painting on a thin layer of the black primer. I decided that I would not glue the canopy bow tonight since I wanted to stay within the 2 hour "prime-to-glue" time frame. I waited about 20 minutes and then started clamping the canopy to the frame. I went with the large c-shaped hose spacers in the back and once those were on - I started clamping forward with the small 3/16" spacers - it took a little longer than 10 minutes to get everything clamped up - so I was good with the 30 minutes of prime to gluing start...
