Brief Description:  Canopy cutting and sanding #9

The canopy was really happy in the shop tonight as the temp was just below 90 degrees. I was less happy, but glad for the warm weather instead of cooler temps...at least while I am cutting plexiglass. I got a later start tonight so I was only able to get one side cut - but it's some progress.

As a way to return the canopy to the same place each time after cutting/sanding, I put three marks on the right and left side of the canopy frame. Then I placed the canopy on the frame and got the canopy placed right where I wanted it...then looking thru at the first six marks, I drew marks on the canopy so that they would line up over the top of the canopy frame marks. I have another mark on the aft end of the canopy so there are three points of the triangle. I have been using the mark system for a few days now. Some builders drill a hole in the canopy and the frame, one on each side, so as to be able to return the canopy to the same spot each time - but I am trying not to drill any holes in the canopy.
