Tonight, I measured and marked all of the holes in the canopy cap and spacer and began the drilling exercise. The spacer is a thicker ½” wide aluminum bar and the cap is a 1/16” x 1” wide piece that sits on top of the spacer and when riveted together, the canopy is attached to the slide block, which “slides” along on this assembly. I got most of the holes measured, marked, drilled and deburred – just a couple more to do in the front below the bend. For grins, here is the instructions for tonight’s work session :
