Tonight, I went to the Fed-Ex store and picked up my landing, position and navigation lights from AeroLED which will allow me to fly at night. The LED lights are much brighter and draw less electricity then the other options currently available so that’s what I am going with.
The next step in the instructions is to mount/mark/and drill the wing rear spar to the fuselage. That takes leveling the fuselage and temporarily installing the wings – which takes many more people. So, I have decided that I will begin working on the canopy next. The main reason for moving onto the canopy is so I am able to make “the cut” on the canopy during the warmer summer months. Plexiglass likes warm air not cold air, which makes it more brittle and more susceptible to cracking. So after I get the canopy cut I will be going back to the rest of the wing /fuselage duties…just in case you were wondering…
