Brief Description:  Fab the ELT stiffeners

Using more of the scrap .025” sheet, I cut two 6” long strips a little wider than an inch and took them over to the vise. Holding one of the flat strips in the vise with about .5” showing above the vise I placed a piece of wood against the aluminum and hitting it with a soft sided hammer, I bent the top over at 90 degrees. I did this to both strips and made them into stiffeners. Next, I cut some aerodynamic fore and aft edges to make them more to my liking and to lighten them up - then smoothed the edges on the wheel. I noticed that because the strips were a little longer than my vise, the ends were a little bent up and did not lay flat - so I cut the bent end off. Presto – skin stiffeners.
