Brief Description:  Disassemble elevator, fill bellcrank, reassemble,

I went to see Roberto and we talked about what I wanted. He said, "Ok, you want to do it now"? SURE! So, I actually had him weld the hole closed, and weld a small steel plate to the back as extra support - as suggested by Van's as another option. I was in and out of there in 30 minutes. Thanks again Roberto.

Back at the shop after work, I was able to put the elevator back on, clamp them both in neutral, install all hardware and drill the right bellcrank. I actually just started the drilling, but then took off the elevator to drill it off the fuse - which allowed better access. I don't recommend you doing yours this way because Van's has you clamp wood between the bellcranks when you drill, so you should do that.

As a double check I was able to get a good 0.0 reading at the front spar, rear spar and trailing edges of the elevator.
