Brief Description:  F-840, F-839 pushrods

I built two more pushrods, F-840 and F-839 which get smaller in diameter and shorter in length. F-840 is a tube type pushrod and is made in the same way as F-841, I cut the tube to the proper length, deburred the edges, marked/center punched the 6 places for the rivets holes to be drilled, shoved/banged in the threaded rods, drilled the holes, removed the threaded rods, deburred the drilled holes, primed the inside of the tube (messy), then shoved/banged/riveted one end of the threaded rod into the tube so that I was sure I would be able to get it inserted. I went ahead and inserted the other end threaded rod, but did not rivet it so that the primer could still dry thru the drilled air holes (rivet holes). I will finish the riveting tomorrow – and maybe the exterior priming before the EAA meeting.

The F-839 pushrod is the small one that goes between the control sticks and it is a powder coated threaded rod in itself so no chopping needed here. I threaded in the bearing and jamb nut to the pre-determined measurement and called it good.
