Brief Description: new speakers and a charity event
The kid is in town this weekend and we are celebrating his birthday a little early as he will be spending his actual birthday in Austin, with friends…
He had some speakers in his truck that were not performing their intended function, so part of his birthday was new speakers all around. We went and picked out the speakers that sounded the best and then settled in for some good father-son bonding time and worked thru the process of problem solving, learning, trying new things and talking about life while we installed them. We ended up replacing both speakers in the front and both in the back - it took most of the day but he and I both had a really good time (he said so!). It took me back to the days that I used to work on our cars with my Dad. And with that, the learning was passed down thru another generation - Good times for sure.
This week I also had the oportunity to attend a charity event with my wife. I got to meet and get my picture with Rutledge Wood and George Flanigen. I feel like I have known Rutledge forever as he is one of the hosts of "Top Gear" and Holden and I have watched all of those cool car episodes! He and George are on another car show called, "Lost in Transmission". SUPER nice guys and both very approachable - check out their work, it is very well done and very entertaining.
