Brief Description: thinning left side of landing gear
I pulled the gear down off the fuse after marking where on the left side I needed to shave some material. I took my time and only took off a little bit at a time so as not to take off too much. after a few iterations on sandpaper, lighter sand paper, scotchbrite pads I had it just to the point where it would barely slide down all the way along the gear. I was even able to get my precision punch inserted into all four holes in the attach brackets and the wear plates. If I were sure that the holes were exactly where I wanted them I could start drilling them out. But I am not there yet and I want to have the rivets / screws done as I said before and I want to really research and make sure I am completely sure about the next steps. So the next few days will be all about the research and then on to the measure, measure, measure, drill.
