N223GT is inverted - and she likes it! Well, I decided to get out the door and do some shop work. I started pulling off the blue vinyl and then decided that it ws time to roll this baby over in preparation for the bottom skin riveting sessions. I saw that I had plenty of roll space on the rear sawhorse and figured that I coulld roll it 90 degrees and set it on the wooden spar spacer, then get another grab and roll it another 90 and be done - so that's what I did. It worked like a charm.
Then it was a matter of grabbing a cloth and the laquer thinner and cleaning up some spots on the shiny aluminum... followed by a rub down with the alcohol paper towel. I really like the look of the shiny bare aluminum - makes me think about how those P-51's looked, rolling off the production line fairly close to here in Dallas, all those years ago. Yep, it looks good in shiny aluminum, but she will be painted in the end.
