Brief Description:  Bent right tank tube exit, saw horse planning

I piddled around in the shop tonight trying to make some forward progress - so the first thing I did was bend the right fuel line forward. I figured I might as well do it now because space will only get tighter from here on out. The right tank line gets bent forward because the right tank has the aerobatic flop tube installed and it exits the wing at the leading edge. The left tank line does not get bent. I also was mulling over the process for riveting the skins. First the forward skins go on, then the mid skins, then the aft skins - but the forward skins get put on top of the mid skins so the forward skins are not dependent on any other skins so they can actually wait until later. Once they go on, they really limit the access to the LG box, and the forward cockpit - so I need to get the landing gear in so I can get the measurements for the new holes, etc. Then I will be comfortable sealing up the front cockpit area. But it can't be too bad - the QB guys have to deal with the skins being on...

Anyway, Iike I said, I was reading thru - familiarizing myself with the riveting process for the skins and I came upon an issue. The spacer I am using for the center section does not allow me to get at the rivets around the main spar, until after those spacers are removed. I sent Van's a picture and asked them whether it is better to wait on those rivets for later, or remove the spacers, set the rivets, then replace the spacers.... Lastly, I got the table saw down from the attic and liberated the wing spar box from the garage wall in preparation for making the sawhorse which will lower the fuselage to a more workable height. It was too late to run the saw so that will have to wait for tomorrow.

I also made a hanger template of the bends the return line will need to make, but I need a "T" fitting for that too...off to place another parts order.
